Het is bijna 45 graden en Matt die dit warme gevoel delen wil, stopt onderweg bij een parkeerplaats dicht bij een strand. Het eerste dat opvalt, is de kookaburra in de elektriciteitsmast. Wanneer ik terugdenk aan die heerlijke tijd in Australië (en met deze kou is dat iedere dag :-) en zou moeten benoemen wat specifiek bij Australië hoort, is dat de intense hitte en de roep van de kookaburra die ook wel lachvogel wordt genoemd. Het was iedere keer weer geweldig om 's morgens gewekt te worden door de kookaburra's in de tuin van Annie & Matt. Bekijk het filmpje en lach mee...
It is almost 45 degrees and Matt, who wants to share this warm feeling, stopped the car on a
parking place near a beach. The first remarkable thing is the kookaburra in the
electricity pole. When I'm thinking back at this wonderful time in Australia
(every day with these cold days :-) and should say what's special for
Australia, it's the intense heat and the sound from a kookaburra, which is also
called a laughbird (in the Netherlands). It was wonderful to wake up every
morning by the kookaburra's in the garden from Annie & Matt. Watch the video and laugh...

Zo kokend alles aanvoelt, zo koel voelt het zand aan je blote voeten. We gaan terug naar de auto waar Annie, en Bodhi de hond op ons wachten.
So hot everything feels, so cool feels the sand under our bare feet. We're going back to Annie and dog Bodhi, waiting in the car.
